Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen, born 6 May 1964 is a Danish actor. He was a character in the drama series The Killing. Copenhagen mayoral election candidate Troels Hartmann in the The Killing drama, Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third season of Sherlock and the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the American House of Cards on Netflix as well as Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels. He was awarded the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011, at the age of 27. In 1995, he was accepted to the National Theatre School of Denmark. Apart from his role in The Killing, [1] the actor also appeared on Borgen III, a Danish drama that was widely and critically acclaimed. He was the President of Russia in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock. He won an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his part in Danish drama Herrens Veje. It was aired in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm
