
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her breakthrough role was in the 2011 Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. She was also seen in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). Sigman was the main character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both shows. Sigman was born to a Mexican mother, as well as an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas) They were both born in Ciudad Obregon. Through her father, she's a U.S. citizen. His brother who is a the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was once married to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career on Mexican TV before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. She was the main role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the Mexican crime drama. The film was selected as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8However, it was not included in the final list. 9 Sigman was awarded the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her performance as film critic in 2011.
