Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, was raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand-born actress. Born in Winnipeg but raised in Wellington, she had her first appearance as an actor in The Piano. In this romantic drama, she was eleven years of age, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th July 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actress, and New Zealander, who, when she was a child, won her first Academy Award in 1993 for the top support actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Canada, and immigrated to New Zealand as a young teenager. When she answered an open audition call to play the character, she got it as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a deaf Scottish pianist who relocates into New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. The actress was just nine and had no previous experience as an actor. When she moved in the United States, she became an adult. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and had a minor part as Jane Eyre in the film when she was still a toddler. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the Spanish queen in a lesser part. She played teenagers as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) and played the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa as a character in Almost Famous (2000).
